Celebrating the other: Stage 3 English unit

This 10-week integrated Stage 3 English unit focuses on context in texts, and how context and texts work together to make meaning. In this unit, students will be encouraged to consider their own personal context, the context of the reader (in contrast to the context of the composer and the text). Other concepts in the unit are intertextuality, character and narrative. The main text in the unit is Runt (Silvey, 2022)
